In Character.
Full Name: Ashley Rileigh Dowling
Date of Birth: June 12 1991
Age: 15
Species: Human
Special Ability: --
Location: Forks, Washington/ La Push, Washington on Weekends
Occupation: Student
Sexual Preference: Heterosexual
Marital Status: Single
Family: MOTHER Cassandra (nee. Snow) Dowling
FATHER Alexander Dowling
SIBLINGS None, Ashely had a twin brother, but he was a still born
GRANDPARENTS Dowling's, retired and living in California. Snow's, living on the Quileute Rezervation

Personality: First impressions of Ashley tend to be shy, quiet, cute or respectful. Ashley isn't good had handling herself in crowds. She gets tongue tied, turns three shades darker, and clamps her mouth shut. Even when the teacher draws on her to answer a question in school, she often turns red and her tempreture rises. She just doesn't like attention on her, and would rather blend in with a crowd then stand out in anyway.

She is soft spoken, and reserved. Around her friends she is known to be a little more loud, and can have a good time. She is slightly on the protected side, and is without a doubt, her parents little Princess. She is well mannered, well dressed, and works hard at school. But mostly they are overly proud of her for her ability to sing. When she's singing it's like she becomes a completely different person, but most people don't know that, because she doesn't let them hear her sing. Choir is different. Her voice blends in with the others, and she can stand at the back and hide.

Self-confidence is a bit of an issue for her. Not that she thinks she's a horrible person, or ugly, but she gets mad at herself for not being as outgoing as her mother. Her mother could have been so much more than a business owner if she hadn't have chosen to raise a family. Her father is a lawyer, there is nothing soft spoken about him. Ashley is fairly sure she gets it from her Mothers mother, who is very soft spoken as well. But she wishes she could be like her parents. Ashley would love nothing more to be able to enter a Music Festivle, or try for the lead in a school play, but her nerves just won't let it.

She's a caring individual, who is very health concious. Smoking, drugs, alchohol, etc. are not in her diet. She can't even remember the last time she had a chocolate bar. She's got a love for animals, and since she's pretty sure a career in Singing is out, she's seriously considering becoming a vet. Animal shelters, and pet stores are some of her favorite places to visit. She has a black cat named Nocturne, and a black lab puppy named Jynx. Also, she owns an Iguana named Izzy, and adores all three of them. At her grandmothers she has a little herb garden that she likes to spend time in, with a wide variety of plants. When she vists her Grandmother, they often work in the gardens together and her Nana teaches her how to cook and bake.

Biography: Cassandra Snow always knew she wanted more than life on the rezervation. She was a Quileute beauty from day one, but wanted out as fast as she could. When she was ninteen she packed up and went to California to 'seek her dreams.' There she met Alexander Dowling. Twenty five, and future CEO of his fathers Pharamceutical Company. It was summer vacation, and the two of them fell in love. While Cassandra was not use to the life of the upperclass, she quickly learned, blended in, and managed to charm Alexanders partens with her beauty and quick wit. When she was twenty-two, they married.

By then Alexander had become a full time Manager in one of the braches of the company, working in labs in LA. She started to rise for a while, her face becoming seen in some less popular magazines or in clothing stores. Until she was twenty five, and found out she was pregnant. Since the life of a model wasn't always the most healthiest, Cassie decided she would leave the model world. Alex was making enough money to support them until she could find another job. Eventually she would settle on fashion design, using influences from the Native culture to create original pieces and set up her own online business.

Soon the couple would find out that not only was Cassie pregnant, but she was carrying twins. It was a long nine months, it was hard to be that pregnant when you were as tiny as Cassie. The couple thought they were going to get their happily ever after. Until the delivery room. Her brother, who would have been named Riley, came out a still born. The doctors and her parents were terrified that the same would happen to Ashley. Luckily, she came out alive, and healthy. Grief ridden, but happy to at least have one of their children, the Dowlings brought their daughter home. After the experience, Cassie said she would never have kids again, and were happy with their one and only.

But the experience was still traumatizing, and Cassie found herself missing her family. So, the three of them packed up and moved back to Washington. At first they were going to move back to the rezervation that Cassie was born on. But to keep Alex from feeling like a bit of an outcast, and so they could have a much nicer home, they moved to the outskirts of Forks. Her father continued to work for his fathers company, setting up a branch for it in Port Angeles, and Cassie continued her online business. Eventually Alex's father retired, and his fathers company became his.

The three settled in the wealthy section of Forks, in a lovely, large, remodeled Victorian style Mansion/House, and Ashley grew up in Forks. She had her mothers beauty, but unfortunatly, did not get either of her parents confidence. She grew to be a slightly shy little girl. Around those she knew, she was fine, but being around strangers was never her strong point. Ashley did, however, have some talent blessed to her. From the age of three and on, it was clear that Ashely could sing, and sing very well. Her mother wanted her to enter into competitions, but Ashely's shy ways and nervs kept her from ever entering the competition world. Singing in the Church choir, or school choir was as far as she went.

Growing up in Forks, the only thing that really stood out about Ashley was that she had money. But eventually even those who wanted to be friends with her simply for that stopped trying, they didn't know how to handle someone who had trouble speaking in crowds. She did however, get herself a small group of friends who she is fairly sure appreciate her for who she is. At sixteen she is still singing, and her mother has recently put her in piano lessons, though she is just a beginner in that. She's by far the youngest in her class, having skipped grades. Born in 1990 she's skipped many of the younger grades, having no problem flying through them. Now, in high school, she finally feels challenged.

She's now 18, and still in Forks High. She's on fairly good terms with most of the kids in her class, though she spends most of her free time down in La Push at her Grandmothers. She's a bit of a social outcast at times, but she tries.

Examples.
Third Person: Does not need to be as your character. 250+ words. -- As Heidi of the Volturi

There was nothing more amusing than they way their head turned when she walked by. How the jaws of the males fell open, and the female glared daggers at her when her back was turned. They were lucky Heidi took no interest in any of them, otherwise they'd be dead. A smirk was on her stunning, alabaster face as she rounded the corner of of a street, entering a more populated area. People just saw her coming, and stepped out of her way, some not looking, others staring. Her long legs carried her past the groups of humans, walking at a normal pace, but in a way that had all eyes on her. Her eyes were black, contacts weren't needed. Heidi was hungry, and it was time to feed.

It didn't talk too long to hunt down a boy who would do the trick. He looked maybe nineteen-twenty, and he was alone. She wasn't about to take anyone who would notice her going off with someone. AS much as she liked amusing herself by drawing attention, she was invisible when she really started to hunt.

Chatting the boy up wasn't hard, her voice flowed over him like silk, her smell was intoxicating. Heidi knew half the things she said were not actually being processed in the boys mind. He was too busy staring at the Goddess infront of him. Every touch made his skin tingle, and not just from the cold. It wasn't long until Heidi was leading the boy away, back to the 'hotel' she had booked a room at. They slipped away, and no one noticed. He was far to busy staring at Heidi to let his friends know where he was going.

They never did make it to that hotel. All she had to do was say she wanted to show him something, and he followed, totally oblivious to where they were. Eventually they ended up walking along the beach by the boardwalk. The houses and buildings would eventually run out, and be replaced by trees.

She backed him up, pushing herself against him gently, cornering him against a tree. Her hands slid up, under his shirt, feeling along his hot skin, which would probably be considered very well muscled, for a human. She stopped herself from rolling her eyes as he admitted a low groan when she marble lips found his. Slowly, she worked her way down, kissing, and sucking, being ever so careful not to let her teeth touch until she was at his neck. He smelled wonderful, and she was so thirsty. His scent was almost teasing, and she couldn't hold out.

Her teeth sank into his neck, her arms locking around the boy to hold him into place. It took him a moment to actually realize he was even in pain, but then the screaming started. It only excited her more, causing her to pull herself closer, drink faster. It didn't take long to drain him so much that he couldn't even fight. Eventually, he went limp in her arms as she drained him, never spilling or wasting a drop. When she was done, she sighed, standing up. She held the corpse in her arms, looking down at him with once again red eyes. "I hope it was as good for you as it was for me." she said to herself.

It was easy to carry him into the woods, deep and out of the way. Heidi then ripped a tree out of the ground, shoved the corpse into the hole, and shoved the tree back in. Body disposed. Looking down at herself to check her appearance, she took off through the trees, heading back to find the other Volturi.

First Person: Unexpected high winds hit last night, and I don't think Nana had the garden covered. I called first thing this morning, but it sounds like there's some damage. After class I'll head to her house to help her clean things up. I have a break from voice lessons today, so I can spend some time there. And since tomorrow is Saturday, I might just stay down. Nan has some company coming tomorrow, and there's going to be children. I might as well offer to look after them, because I don't think the adults are going to be up for chasing them around the rez.

There's a Music Festival with a voice competition coming up in a month in Port Angeles. My parents are pushing me to go.

...we'll see how that ends up. I'm going to have to get over this if I want to audition for Juilliard.

Jynx won't leave Izzy alone, and it looks like Nocturne is just ready to kill them both. Cats. She's so snotty. At least Jynx is smart enough not to bug her, I think the claw marks across her nose last time were warning enough.

Speaking of animals that need attention, Jynx needs a run. I think I'll take her to the beach. Usually we go to the woods. I tried that one yesterday and Dad freaking out. Bunch a wild animals, ruining it for everyone.
